St. Paul Park police reports for Sept. 5: Burglary, theft, fight, property damage
Recent criminal activity reported in St. Paul Park:
A Woodbury man reported Aug. 6 that someone broke into a condemned house he owns on Portland Avenue and stole tools and construction equipment he was storing there.
A St. Paul Park man reported Aug. 18 that two bikes were stolen from his garage in the 1200 block of Third Street. As police were talking to the victim, two suspects rode by on the stolen bikes. An officer followed the suspects but they rode behind Fourth Street and disappeared. The suspects were identified by a third person who was with them.
A woman told police Aug. 8 that a St. Paul Park man had assaulted her while in Newport and then, a short time later, damaged her vehicle with a baseball bat at Heritage Park.
A Grey Cloud Island Township woman called police Aug. 1 to report that someone damaged two mailboxes in the 9000 block of Grey Cloud Trail.
A St. Paul Park woman reported Aug. 12 that someone stole two bikes from a home in the 1400 block of Portland Avenue. Both were valued at $300.
A St. Paul Park woman reported Aug. 18 that someone entered her vehicle in the 800 block of Fourth Street and stole a small amount of change.
A St. Paul Park man reported Aug. 18 that he left his truck parked overnight at Harbor Bar, 388 Ninth Ave. Someone threw a brick through the window and stole tools from the trunk.
Northern Tier Energy, 301 St. Paul Park Road, called police Aug. 13 to report suspicious activity at 729 Factory St. The refinery had photos of a man carrying a ladder while riding a bicycle. Security staff said the man used the ladder to get onto a shed.
Police were called about 6:30 p.m. Aug. 17 to Oltman Middle School, 1020 Third Ave., for a reported fight involving about 40 youths. The juveniles had left when police arrived.
