St. Paul Park police reports for May 29: Burglary, theft, DWI damage
A South St. Paul man was told to leave Hidden Harbor Marina April 21 after he was reported as suspicious. The man told police he was bored and was "looking for snakes" around the marina. He left without incident.
A 41-year-old Cottage Grove man was cited April 30 for scavenging after police found him in the 1400 block of Lincoln Avenue with a bike and child trailer full of objects such as hose reels and used toys. The man said he took the items from yards where people left them for garbage collection.
Police were called April 29 to Oltman Middle School to assist with a 13-year-old male student who was misbehaving and becoming violent. The student had disrupted a class and then refused to get out of his desk. After police arrived, the student left with his father, according to the report.
A St. Paul Park woman reported May 4 that she worked overnight and returned home to find the residence had been burglarized. Cash and a video game system were stolen from the home in the 300 block of Pullman Avenue.
Police found graffiti on the control shack of the Ninth Avenue railroad crossing on April 25. Then, on May 5, an officer found graffiti on railroad property in the 600 block of Fifth Street.
A St. Paul Park woman reported the theft of an iPod device May 2 in the 300 block of Pullman Avenue. Further information about the theft was not released.
A 34-year-old man without a permanent address was cited for theft after he left Carbone's, 301 Broadway Ave., without paying his $26 bill. Police found him a short time later and ticketed him.
A 33-year-old Eagan woman was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree drunken driving after she struck a mailbox in the 700 block of Third Street shortly before 3 a.m. May 4. The woman's blood-alcohol concentration was more than two times the legal driving limit.
