St. Paul Park police reports for Jan. 23: Domestic, vandalism, theft, fire
Recent criminal ativity reported in St. Paul Park:
SuperAmerica, 545 Summit Ave., reported Jan. 1 that two propane tanks were stolen from the store. Loss: $110. The store also reported a $10 gas drive-off on Jan. 12.
A St. Paul Park woman reported Jan. 5 that a speaker was stolen from her son’s car in the 700 block of Second Street.
Firefighters were called about 3:30 p.m. Jan. 7 to 1155 First St. for a vehicle fire. Two vehicles were damaged. The fire was caused by a mechanical issue.
A Cottage Grove man told police Jan. 4 that he was assaulted by a St. Paul Park man during an incident outside Park Grove Bowl. The victim said he bumped into the St. Paul Park man and said something about football that angered the suspect. The man then choked the victim. Police talked to the suspect, who was intoxicated, and he admitted to choking the victim but did not remember what was said that bothered him. The victim did not want to press charges, and got an apology from the suspect. Both were kicked out of the bowling alley for the night and left peacefully.
A St. Paul Park woman told police she was hit in the face by a St. Paul man during a fight Jan. 7 at the 1200 block of Fourth Street. The woman later decided she did not want to press charges.
A 23-year-old man was tazed by police after he resisted arrest Jan. 9 at a home in the 1100 block of Laurel Avenue. Police were at the home to respond to a domestic incident. The man involved had outstanding warrants and resisted arrest, according to the report.
SuperAmerica, 545 Summit Ave., reported Jan. 7 that two young girls were in the store trying to buy merchandise with counterfeit money and other people’s credit cards. The case was active.
Park Place, 200 Broadway Ave., reported Jan. 11 that someone vandalized a restroom.
