St. Paul Park City Council awards Eighth Avenue outfall project
The first phase of work to fix a failed storm sewer outfall to the Mississippi River has been awarded to Rosemount-based Dahn Construction, who bid $86,408.
The failed outfall, located near Hidden Harbor Marina, is in need of a new outfall pipe and manhole structure at the end of the 8th Avenue public right of way.
The project was awarded now, City Administrator Kevin Walsh said, because the project area is easily accessible due to the frozen water.
Phase 1 is slated to begin immediately. The second phase of construction is slated to be bid in spring and have a summer start date.
When the project is complete, the new outfall will connect with the existing storm sewer to the east of 8th Avenue.
