SPP council to discuss wristbands for drinkers at Heritage Days
Cottage Grove Minnesota 7584 80th Street South 55016

Wristbands for people who want to drink on the streets during Heritage Days is one of several proposed changes for the annual event that will be considered at the St. Paul Park city council meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 5.

Other changes, requested by the Heritage Days committee and recommended for approval by the city's public safety commission, include slightly altered drinking hours, hours for the street dance and fencing the street dance.

In a memo sent to the council on March 26, St. Paul Park Police Chief Mike Monahan disagreed with the proposed changes and recommended no alcohol be allowed on public streets and discontinuation of the street dance.
