Park High School Activities Department going to online registration Starting July 11th online registration for MSHSL activities will be done at https://sowashco.feepay.com/ . Students need a sports qualifying physical once every three years for athletics. You will need your student ID (Found in the Parent/Student Portal) in order to register. If you have any questions, call the Activities Office at 768-3759 AFTER AUGUST 4th.

Park football camps Park High School football coach Darin Glazier is holding a few camps throughout July. A Park football skills clinic will be held from July 14 through July 17 from 10 AM to 11:30 AM at Park High School. This camp is for kids entering 5th-through-9th grades. This camp will focus on some of the skill positions in football. Quarterback, running back, receiver, linebacker and defensive back will be the primary positions that will be drilled. Campers will work on individual position skills, as well as one on one and seven on seven competitions. Campers who attend this camp will receive a Wolfpack football t-shirt. Later in the month, from July 28 to July 31 two camps will be held at Park High School. The session for kids entering 1st-through-4th grade will be from 5:30 PM to 7 PM, while the session for kids entering 5th-through-9th grade will be from 7 PM to 8:30 PM. Campers who attend either of these two camps will receive a Wolfpack football t-shirt, a dog tag and four days of instruction in the fundamentals of Wolfpack football. Campers planning to attend any of the three camps should bring water and either cleats or tennis shoes. The cost for any of the three camps is $40 apiece. Minnesota Twins youth camp The Minnesota Twins will be hosting a youth training camp at Bielenberg Fields on July 21 and July 22 from 9 AM to 3 PM. Twins personnel as well as top college and high school coaches will provide daily instruction. The special instructor on hand will be former Twins player and Hall of Famer Rod Carew. Campers will compete in drills designed to improve hitting, fielding and throwing. The camp is open to kids from eight to 15 years old and players will be grouped by age and skill level.. East Ridge pole vault camp East Ridge pole vault coach Mark Haesly is offering a free “learn by doing” pole vault camp this summer. The camp will be held each Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m at East Ridge High School, starting on June 17. The camp will not be held from June 29-July 6, and individual days could be cancelled due to bad weather. The camp is open to students entering sixth grade and older. Students are only asked to bring a water bottle and proper shoes, as poles and helmets will be provided for them. Minnesota Magic softball clinic The Minnesota Magic softball club will be hosting a softball clinic on July 16 from 10 AM to 2 PM at Bielenberg Sports Center, Fields 8 and 9. Concordia University head coach Bob Bartel, Hamline University head coach Jim Rubbelke and former Minnesota Gopher pitcher Michele Harrison will share their expertise and teach the mechanics and technique of proper hitting, throwing and base running. This clinic is designed for girls ages 8-14, however, all ages are welcome. The cost of the camp is $45 with the fee and the registration form due upon arrival at the clinic. Community Education summer camps South Washington County Schools Community Education is sponsoring summer sports camps and clinics for boys and girls in grades K-12. Camps and clinics include strength and conditioning, basketball, soccer, football, golf, tennis, dodgeball, cheerleading, dance and physical education games (only elementary ages). Various Skyhawks Sports Camps are also available. Camps are offered by varsity coaches at all three high schools in District 833. Camps are held at various high schools and middle schools throughout the school district. Classes begin June 9 and run through Aug. 8. Cost is $20-$150 per session. East Ridge youth tennis camps East Ridge Athletic Association is offering youth tennis camps. The second camp will be Tuesday to Friday, July 8-11, and led by East Ridge head coach Suzie Heideman, a PTR-certified teaching professional, and the East Ridge boys tennis team. It’s open to girls and boys ages 5-12 of all abilities. It will be from 10 a.m. to noon. Cost: $95. The camps are open to youth from all area schools and communities. Summer running clinic Pete Wareham, head cross country coach at the University of St. Thomas, is offering a summer running clinic for Woodbury kids that is offered to any runner, seventh thru 12th grade, who is planning on participating in either boys or girls high school cross country in the fall of 2014. The clinic will be offered twice a week beginning in June and run thru the end of July. The clinic will take place at Woodbury High School. The clinic format for each session will include a topic of the day and also include a group workout/training run which will be supervised by the clinic instructor. All participants will receive a personal training program for summer training. All students who are interested in participating in cross country in the fall are encouraged to participate in this summer clinic. All sessions start at 8:00am on Mondays and Wednesdays. ERHS Fall Sports Registration Opening in July East Ridge High School’s Fall Sports Online Registration will open on July 15 . To register your athlete for MSHSL Fall Sports, please go to the East Ridge High School Website. On the home page under ‘Hot Topics’, click on the link ‘Fall Sports Registration will open on July 15th’. This link will take you to our athletic webpage with important registration information. Once you have read the information, you will be able to click on a link to the actual registration site. This site will have instructions regarding how to Log in. If you will need financial assistance or your student will be a team manager or you will exceed the family maximum fee payment of $475, please follow the special instructions at the bottom of the webpage. Please be sure that your athlete has a sports physical on file at East Ridge before you register and that it will not expire before 11/22/14. The sports physical is good for three years from the exam date. Registration will close on July 30.
East Ridge Soccer Club Lil Raptors training East Ridge Soccer Club will be holding three, four-week Lil Raptors Training Academy sessions for ages U5-U8. The cost of each session is $65 and includes a T-shirt. The program will be run by professional trainers at local soccer fields in Woodbury and Cottage Grove. East Ridge girls basketball open gym for grades 4-12 East Ridge High School is holding an open gym for girls basketball players in grades 4-12. This is a summer-long session that will provide an opportunity for players to get into the gym and work on basketball skills on their own. Supervision by the East Ridge staff will be on hand at all times to provide guidance for these sessions. The open gym will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, June 17-July 31, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The camp will not meet week of July 4.
East Ridge girls basketball summer shooting workouts East Ridge is holding summer shooting and workouts for middle school-aged girls on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from June 10 to July 31 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. The basketball shooting workouts are designed for East Ridge girls entering sixth, seventh, and eighth grades next fall and will consist of repetitive game shots from game spots at game speeds, along with the fundamentals of free throw shooting. The workouts will consist of various competitive game-like situations and will be led by the East Ridge girls basketball coaching staff. Players attending will receive an East Ridge basketball T-shirt.
Football University Twin Cities camp at East Ridge June 27 Football University’s Twin Cities football camp will take place June 27-29 at East Ridge High School in Woodbury. Football University is an invitation-only, one-of-a-kind football training experience focusing on developing and enhancing the playmaking ability and skill of elite-level athletes in 6th to 11th grade. The training is provided by the NFL coaches and players. Although FBU does have an invitation-only policy, athletes are strongly encouraged to nominate themselves at http://www.footballuniversity.org.
East Ridge football registration open Youth from the local area will fine tune their skills during an exciting football season with the East Ridge Athletic Association Football (ERAAF) program.
The season runs from early August through late October, and practice times and dates will be available closer to the start of the season .
Groupings including Kindergarten Flag, 1st/2nd Grade Flag and 3rd Grade thru 8th Grade Tackle.
District #833 athletic registration open District #833 Community Education is currently now taking registrations for its Fall Athletic Programs. The Offerings include: Competitive Football (for 7 & 8 grade boys), Competitive Volleyball (for 7 & 8 grade girls) and Recreational Girls Tennis (for 6-8 grade girls).
Football & Volleyball play in the SEC Middle School Conference. Practices are Monday – Friday from 2:45-4:45pm for both football and volleyball. (Football practice schedule for August will be handed out by coaches) Football runs August 13th through October 14th. Volleyball runs September 2nd through October 14th.
