The Cottage Grove Athletic Association, in association with Midwest 3-on-3, will be hosting the second-annual 3-on-3 Basketball League this fall at the Park High School Activity Center. The league will run five Sunday evenings from Sept. 15 through Oct. 13. The league with have boy and girl divisions from fourth grade and lower through 10th grade. Teams will play two games per evening (10 total) and will receive team T-shirts. The league is a non-coached league and kids are encouraged to form their own teams and register. Last year the league had 103 teams in its first year and we are expecting more this year. Kids from Cottage Grove, Woodbury, Hastings, Hudson and other communities will be participating. The cost of the league is $55 per player. More detailed information and how to register is available at www.cottagegrovebasketball.com. This league offers an exciting, affordable opportunity to enhance individual and team skills. The smaller team size increases offensive and defensive opportunities for each player as well as encourages teamwork through basic fundamental team play (pick and rolls, give and go’s, back-door cuts, etc. The intent of this program is to provide a fun, competitive learning environment for all players.
