Skating lessons at Cottage Grove Ice Arena

Is your family looking for a way to stay healthy and active this spring? Why not sign up for skating lessons at the Cottage Grove Ice Arena? Cottage Grove offers cost-effective lessons for all ages and abilities year round at the arena. Unlike most sports which require special clothing and gear - all CGIA requires is skates. Spring lessons start the week of Feb. 15. All registrations received before Feb. 3 will qualify for a 10 percent discount. Coaches vs. Cancer at Park High School

The Park girls and boys basketball programs will be competing over the week of Jan. 27 to raise funds to donate to the American Cancer Society in the fight against cancer. The week culminates with Park’s third-annual Free Throw-a-thon event on Feb. 1, where players from the Park boys and girls basketball programs will each shoot 100 free throws. The competition will include: Which program makes the most free throws, the top individual free-throw percentage, the most money raised per program and the top individual money earner. During the week of Jan. 27-31 the girls and boys basketball players selling heart shaped basketball cut-outs during their lunch periods. The hearts will be to honor someone who is currently affected by cancer or in memory of a loved one who has lost their battle with cancer. The cut-outs will also be sold at the home games from through Feb. 3. Please call 612-220-1375 with any questions.

Park dance team hosts annual Kids Camp Feb. 21

The Park High School dance team is hosting their annual Kids Camp for boys and girls grades K-7 on Friday, Feb. 21. Learn skills from members of the Wolfpack dance team, meet new friends, and perform a unique routine at halftime of a basketball game. East Ridge soccer club spring season starts soon

Looking for a competitive soccer team to join for the 2014 spring/summer season? The East Ridge Soccer Club is excited for the spring/summer season to start and have openings on some of its competitive teams. Please contact erscregistrar@gmail.com if you are interested in joining us or for more information. Spring/summer fees are $335 per player for U9-U10 and $350 for U11 – U18. There is a one-time registration fee of $40. The season runs end of April thru July and includes winter training which has just started.
