School District 833 superintendent to form new advisory council
School District 833 Superintendent Keith Jacobus is forming a new advisory council to get input on local education issues.
Jacobus said last week he is starting the Superintendent’s Advisory Council, which will meet monthly beginning this spring. It will be a venue to talk in more depth about school issues, he said.
“I’m excited to start that,” Jacobus told the School Board Feb. 6.
The council will include South Washington County Schools students, staff and parents as well as district residents. Those who are interested can apply by completing the district’s community involvement application, available at http://www.sowashco.k12.mn.us.
The Superintendent’s Advisory Council is one of eight district committees. The others are: Citizens Financial; Curriculum; District Data and Assessment; Educational Equity and Integration; Long Range Facility Task Force; School Communicators; and Strategic Planning/World’s Best Work Force.
The committee application is open until Feb. 21 for current appointments.
