School District 833 proposes 2014-15 calendar
South Washington County Schools students would get a full two-week break over Christmas and New Year’s next school year, according to the proposed academic calendar.
The District 833 School Board is expected to vote Thursday, Feb. 20, to approve the calendar for the 2014-15 school year.
The schedule includes a longer winter break than has been held in recent years. It would run from Dec. 22 to Jan. 5, 2015. Thanksgiving break would be Nov. 27-28.
Spring break is proposed for March 9-13, 2015.
The first day of school is planned for Tuesday, Sept. 2. The last day of school would be June 5, 2015.
The board will take up the calendar at its meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at the District Service Center in Cottage Grove.
