Park gymnastics: Wolfpack flips past rival Woodbury

The Park gymnastics team topped rival Woodbury 139.725 to 128.7 on Thursday, Jan. 16, in Woodbury.

Park junior Sarah Schank led the way for the Wolfpack, finishing first in the all-around competition with a 36.325, which included a 9.425 in the floor exercise, a 9.05 in the vault, an 8.95 on the bars and an 8.9 on the beam.

Park senior Sarah LaBrosse also placed in the all-around, taking third with a 35.6. Her night included a 9.275 in the floor exercise, a 9.0 in the vault, an 8.45 on the bars and an 8.875 on the beam.

Park senior Allie Minogue and junior Jamie Gardner also scored well in the all-around, with scores of 32.65 and 31.8, respectively. Minogue’s best scores were an 8.875 in the vault, an 8.75 in the floor. Gardner’s top scores were an 8.65 in the vault and an 8.5 in the floor.

Also, junior Gabriella Page delivered a 9.25 in the vault and an 8.85 in the floor, senior Michaela Thielfoldt scored a 9.0 in the vault and an 8.75 in the floor and junior Carlee Washenberger scored an 8.75 in the vault, an 8.2 on the beam and an 8.625 in the floor.

The win improved Park to 5-2 in the Suburban East Conference on the season.

The Wolfpack takes on Forest Lake on Thursday.
