Park boys basketball: Wolfpack’s losing skid hits nine
The Park boys basketball team will probably be happy when January is over.
Most recently, Park got roughed up by Suburban East Conference rival Woodbury, 89-44, on Tuesday, Jan. 24, in Cottage Grove before falling 56-45 to Hastings at home on Friday.
Last year, Park snapped a long conference losing streak by beating Hastings. However, the Raiders (4-14; 2-9 SEC) won both matchups this year. Individual statistics from the game were not made available.
Against Woodbury, the Royals (12-7; 8-3 SEC) jumped out to a 54-22 lead at the half then cruised to the 45-point win.Eleven different players scored for Park (3-14; 0-10 SEC) in the game. Senior Jordan Pinnix led the way with a team-high 11 points.Woodbury senior sharpshooter Matt Ambriz led all scorers with 31 points.Next, Park is at Roseville (9-8; 7-3 SEC) on Thursday, Jan. 30.
