Park boys basketball: Wolfpack fall 81-41 to Roseville Raiders
The Park boys basketball team couldn’t pull off an upset against one of the Suburban East Conference’s better teams last week.
Roseville (6-2; 4-0 SEC) opened up a 44-22 halftime lead on Park, then outscored the Wolfpack 37-19 in the second half on the way to the 40-point win.
Park senior Ryan Klika led the way for the Wolfpack with a team-high 10 points. Junior guard Tommy Tola chipped in nine points.
Twelve players scored for Roseville in the game. The Raiders were led by 6-foot, 7-inch senior forward Jake Geyen’s 15 points and seven rebounds and junior guard Kobe Critchley’s nine points, 15 assists and seven rebounds.
The loss was Park’s fourth straight and kept the Wolfpack winless in conference play this season.
Park competed in the South St. Paul tournament after the Bulletin went to press. Next, the Wolfpack returns to SEC play against conference power Cretin-Derham Hall on Friday, Jan. 3, in St. Paul.
