In the meets, Park beat Tartan 92-73, lost to Woodbury 97-86 and finished fourth at the True Team section meet.

In the win over Tartan -- Park's first "W" of the year -- the Wolfpack had first place finishes in all 12 events and went 1-2-3 in the 100 backstroke.

"We had a very good meet against Tartan and pretty much dominated them," Park head coach Charles Cauthorn said. "We swim against so many good teams in our conference that sometimes it's easy to forget where we stand throughout the state and what a good program we run at Park."

In the backstroke, Kyle Lewis turned in the meet's top time with a 1:07. Quint Larson was second with a 1:21 time and Chris Isely was third with a time of 1:22.

Park's Justin Kong was first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:06 and first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:13, Matt Haerle was first in the 200 I.M. with a 2:20 time and first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 0:56, Zach Elliot was first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 0:24, Travis Dorsch was first in the 100 butterfly with a 1:05 time, Nick Bibeau was first in the 500 freestyle. In the relays, Park's 400 free relay of Bibeau, Lewis, Haerle and Andrew Treadway, was first with a time of 3:53, the 200 free relay team of Elliot, Kong, Dorsch and Aaron Lawrence was first with a time of 1:43 and the 200 medley relay team of Dorsch, Bibeau, Kong and Haerle finished first with a time of 1:58.

Against Woodbury, the Wolfpack found it tougher to dominate like it did against Tartan. However, Park did have success in a number of events and didn't allow the Royals to go 1-2-3 in any events.

Park's Elliot had the Wolfpack's lone individual first place finish at the meet, turning in a 1:06 in the backstroke to take the top spot. However, Elliot also helped the 200 free relay team -- along with Kong, Lewis and Haerle -- to finish in first place in that event with a time of 1:39.

With its fourth place finish at the True Team section meet, Park, which scored 286 points, was unable to qualify for the True Team state meet. Stillwater won the meet with 769 points and will go to the state meet. Woodbury (530 points) was second. Roseville (416 points) was third.

Next up, Park will travel to Mounds View to take on the Mustangs, which is one of the top three teams in the SEC.
