NLA senior Reagan Baar had an impressive week, collecting 22 kills and hitting for over 40 percent. Senior libero Macayla Stone made a big impact in the back row as well, collecting 30 digs in the two matches last week. Senior hitter Ally Lamb also hit for over 30 percent over the past week and Lauren Ruhr and Kara Stenerson collected 27 and 22 setting assists, respectively, in the two matches this past week. Stenerson is one of three eighth graders who are starting for the Eagles. Abby Gorter, outside hitter, and Abby Thor, a middle hitter, are the other two.

"These three 13-year-olds are playing like juniors in high school," NLA head coach Wally Bomgren said. "They have tremendous desire, and their focus is well ahead of their age. They are fitting right in. All three of them are literally improving every day we practice -- they are very coachable."

Next, NLA heads to Legacy Christian on Thursday, Sept. 15.
