On Jan. 8, the Eagles faced off against MCAA conference foe Trinity at River Ridge, and came away with a 69-45 win behind Zach Prefer and his 18 points. Jake Wynia also added 14. The Eagles led from start to finish and wore down the Tri Hawks.

The rest of the week wasn't so easy, though. On Jan. 10, the Eagles fell 64-38 against Southwest Christian. Cameron Duffy scored 15 points for the Eagles, but no other player scored more than 10 points. Luke Johanson had 18 points for Southwest Christian, while Mitchell Petersen added 12 to go along with Brett Reinhart's 10 points.

New Life scored more points in its next game, but also allowed more as well. On Saturday, the Eagles lost 104-79 to a tough Lakeview Christian Academy team.

Anders Broman, one of the top players in Minnesota, scored an impressive 57 points. His brother Bjorn, added 23 while Josh Plys scored 11. Sam Horner led the Eagles with 15 points. Duffy, Alex Busch and Conrad Engstrom each scored 13 points.

The Eagles have just two games this week. On Tuesday, they hosted Bethany Academy and on Saturday they travel to play West Lutheran.

New Life currently sit in seventh place in the conference with a 5-6 overall record and a 1-2 conference record.
