Muscala, Roseville too much for Park boys basketball team

The Park boys basketball team traveled to Roseville on Friday, Feb. 6 in hopes to avenge a 72-57 loss to the Raiders back on Dec. 19. However, although Park kept things close in the Suburban East Conference match, Roseville took the regular season series with a 67-58 win.

In the game, the Raiders (7-12; 5-4 SEC) were led by 6'9" center Mike Muscala, who had a game-high 24 points. Muscala, a Div. I recruit who is headed to Bucknell, had a game-high 26 points in the two teams' last match up.

For the Wolfpack (5-11; 2-7 SEC) senior guard Cody Hofmann had 14 points, senior center Andy Voigt had 13 points and freshman guard Marcus Jones had 10 points to lead the way for Park.

In the game, Roseville held a four-point advantage at halftime and held on in the second half, outscoring the 'Pack by five, to earn the home court win.

Park hit the road to play Hastings on Tuesday after the Bulletin went to print. Next, the Wolfpack hosts conference leader Mounds View on Friday, Feb. 13 at Park High School.

Park lost 55-48 to Hastings (9-9; 4-4 SEC) back on Jan. 6 and fell 69-63 to the Mustangs (13-6; 7-2 SEC) on Jan. 13 at Mounds View.
