Missing teen turns up in Las Vegas
A Cottage Grove teenager missing since July 2 turned herself in to police in Las Vegas over the weekend, according to Cottage Grove Police Detective Tom Ueland.
At around 10:30 p.m. Friday, Angela M. Tschida, 14, turned herself in to a security person at a Greyhound Bus station in Las Vegas, he said. She has been in a juvenile holding facility since then, and police are making arrangements to get her back to Cottage Grove, Ueland said.
Angela's mother, Brigette Tschida said she was "dumbfounded" when she got a call from her daughter, who she hadn't heard from in weeks, Friday night. She's talked with her once per day since she's been found.
Police suspect Angela left town with Alexius J. McMullin, 36, who is wanted in Washington and Hennepin counties. Law enforcement agencies continue to seek McMullin, who could also face federal charges, Ueland said.
