Minnesota Vikings' Ponder visits Oltman Middle School students in St. Paul Park
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder tossed some words of wisdom to Oltman Middle School students during the football player's appearance at the school Tuesday.
Ponder's visit to the St. Paul Park school came after a seventh-grade student won an essay contest. Ponder spent time in Paul Pressnall's language arts class.
Oltman Principal Becky Schroeder said Ponder's message focused on being true to yourself, healthy living, becoming disciplined in all areas especially education, and to always live by the golden rule. Students also asked Ponder questions.
Oltman students and staff lined the hallways to welcome Ponder.
