Washington County Commissioner Autumn Lehrke was named this year’s outstanding alumna at Inver Hills Community College.

Lehrke, who started taking credits at Inver Hills when she was 16, graduated from the college in 2003. She was recognized for her award during the college’s recent spring commencement.

After attending Inver Hills, Lehrke earned a baccalaureate degree with honors from the College of St. Scholastica, and a master’s of business administration from the University of Phoenix. She later added a master’s of arts in management.

Lehrke is chairwoman of the Washington County Board and the Red Rock Corridor Commission, and serves on other committees.

She and her husband, Derrick, a Cottage Grove City Council member, live in Cottage Grove. They own rental housing in south Washington County and recently opened Opinion Brewing, a brew-pub in the former Red Rock Saloon in Newport.
