Juvenile who allegedly shuttled thieves arrested at gunpoint in Woodbury
Cottage Grove Minnesota 7584 80th Street South 55016

A Woodbury male who was allegedly shuttling thieves around Woodbury was arrested at gunpoint early Tuesday.

Police were called at 4:14 a.m. Tuesday by a Woodbury resident who said he was following a vehicle that had been dropping juveniles off to break in to other vehicles, according to a preliminary Woodbury police report.

Officers in two separate squad cars caught up with the suspect vehicle near East Ridge High School. The suspect vehicle entered school grounds and a motor vehicle chase ensued.

Police said the suspect vehicle sped up and didn't attempt to stop until it turned off Hargis Parkway onto Radio Drive, where it headed north. The vehicle stopped on Bailey Road.

According to the report, police removed the driver from the vehicle at gunpoint.

A search of the vehicle turned up multiple items that police said appeared to have been stolen.

The male gave police the names of other suspects he was with and was supposed to have picked up, according to the report. Police did not locate those people.

The suspect was taken to the Woodbury police station. His parents were contacted and told police they wanted to speak with a lawyer.

Felony charges were pending against the male driver, whose name was not released due to data privacy laws.

A Cottage Grove juvenile was listed among possible suspects in the case.
