House on Summit to be boarded up
The St. Paul Park City Council approved a resolution on Oct. 19 ordering the owner of a vacant home at 1318 Summit Avenue to secure the property by Nov. 2 or the city will do it and charge the property.
The house, owned by Mike McConnell, was damaged in a fire in the spring and has not been repaired, according to city administrator Kevin Walsh. The city has requested McConnell repair the house or board up the hole in the roof, cover broken windows, install locks on all doors and post "No Trespassing" signs.
Walsh said gas and water service has been turned off at the property.
