While on vacation in July, Bunton and his wife made a run to an emergency room at an Ely, Minn., hospital. A short time later, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

The benefit will help raise money for Bunton’s family to offset the costs of his cancer treatment. The benefit will be from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at Moose on Monroe, 356 Monroe St. NE, Minneapolis. Tickets can be purchased at the door. They are $20 for adults and $5 for kids under 12.
