Final payment made on first phase of St. Paul Park's Eighth Avenue outfall project
The city of St. Paul Park cut a $93,000 check to Dahn Construction, making the final payment on the Eighth Avenue outfall project.
The project, which was completed over the winter, was the first phase of work to fix the failed storm sewer outfall to the Mississippi River.
Located near Hidden Harbor Marina, the failed outfall needed new pipes and a manhole structure at the end of the Eighth Avenue public right-of-way.
The city is expected to solicit bids this spring for the second phase of construction, which is slated to begin this summer.
Once complete, the new outfall will connect with the existing storm sewer east of Eighth Avenue.
