A Cottage Grove resident reported that vehicles were been struck by eggs three nights in a row. One vehicle was hit while parked in the 7100 block of Imperial Ave., and then that vehicle and two others were hit by eggs the following two nights while parked in the 8100 block of Janero Ave. The broken eggs caused paint damage totaling an estimated $3,200, according to Cottage Grove police.

The victims provided the name of a possible suspect. Police investigated and plan to charge the 18-year-old suspect with felony property damage. Authorities plan to seek juvenile property damage charges against the other two suspects, a 17-year-old male and a 17-year-old female, both of Cottage Grove.

The incidents occurred between Feb. 17 and 19, but were reported to police last Friday.
