A minimum wage increase will be a bump for low-earning Minnesota workers, or it will be a bust for the state’s economy.
Those were competing predictions by south Washington County lawmakers who fell on opposite sides of the minimum wage debate. That debate culminated with Gov. Mark Dayton’s signature Monday on a new law that will increase the minimum wage for large employers to $9.50 by 2016.
