East Ridge girls hockey: Raptors end regular season on slide
The East Ridge girls hockey team concluded the regular season with a pair of losses to conference foes Cretin-Derham Hall and Hastings.
Courtney Koemptgen’s goal at 14 minutes, 46 seconds of the second period held up for Cretin-Derham Hall Tuesday in a 1-0 victory.
Both teams finished with 17 shots on goal while the Raiders went 0-for-2 on the power play and the Raptors went 0-for-3.
Against Hastings, Kiki Radke scored 7:24 into overtime to lift the Raiders to a 3-2 overtime victory Friday in Hastings.
The goal completed the rally for the Raiders after they fell behind 2-1 in the second period.
Jessie Andersen gave East Ridge a 2-1 lead with a goal at 8:57 of the second period after Jaedyn Walz tied the game a minute into the second period.
The Raptors (14-9-1, 8-8-1 SEC) fell behind 1-0 9:11 in the first period after Nicole Kilmek scored for Hastings.
East Ridge outshot the Raiders 38-16 in the game.
The Raptors drew the fourth seed for the Section 3AA tournament and will face fifth-seeded Eagan Wednesday at Bielenberg Arena.
