The wife of injured police officer Frank Mackall is signing her new book that explores the family’s journey following his accident.

Lisabeth Mackall recently published “27 Miles: The Tank’s Journey Home” and will be signing copies from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 13 at The Book Corner at Seasons Marketplace in Woodbury.

The Mackalls live in Cottage Grove. While working as a Savage police officer, Frank was severely injured in a squad car crash in early January 2012. Lisabeth left her job as a speech therapist and rehabilitation director to focus on Frank’s recovery. She wrote about the experience online, which served as the basis for the book.

“The story is a journal-based, true life emotional walk through a real-life trauma experience,” she said.

Frank is a former Woodbury police officer and Cottage Grove reserve officer.
