While the Cottage Grove Bike Park has several more months until it is fully open, the city is seeking a portion of a $100,000 grant from Bell Helmets, Inc., to assist builders in constructing a jump line.

The city is requesting $33,000 in funding which would cover the cost of design and construction. The creation of a jump line is labor intensive and would be completed by the International Mountain Bicycling Association.

Dirt for the jump line will be provided by both the city of Cottage Grove and the Minnesota Off-Road Cyclists.

Once constructed, the multi-level jump line, to be located in the southwest corner of the park, will provide riders of all ages and skill levels a progressive track to ride.
