Suspicious activity

A Cottage Grove resident reported Oct. 2 that a suspicious male approached her son in the 8100 block of East Point Douglas Road and asked if he wanted to go to a store. The man was not located.

Robbery

A 13-year-old Cottage Grove male was approached by a group of three juveniles about 10 p.m. Sept. 28 near Crestview Elementary School. One of the three juveniles took the victim’s iPod, cellphone and $11 cash before the group fled. Police found the suspects and the case has been referred to a school resource officer for further investigation.

Assault

A 23-year-old Cottage Grove man was cited for fifth-domestic assault Oct. 3 and booked at the Washington County jail after allegedly hitting his father in the face with a fist during a dispute at a home in the 7500 block of Jeffery Avenue.

Troy A. Hetrick, 43, of Maplewood, was arrested on suspicion of gross-misdemeanor obstruction and for misdemeanor domestic assault on Oct. 3. A woman in the 8100 block of Homestead Avenue reported seeing a man standing near her vehicle shortly before 11 p.m. Police confronted the man, later identified as Hetrick, who said he had been fighting with his girlfriend. He was arrested and transported to the Washington County jail.

Police are seeking formal criminal charges against a 26-year-old Minneapolis woman who allegedly damaged a computer and kicked an adult male during a domestic incident Oct. 4 at a home in the 6900 block of 99th Street Court. The suspect was gone when police arrived.
