A summary of some of the recent criminal activity reported in Cottage Grove:

Fire

Firefighters were called to a fire about 10 p.m. Oct. 2 in the 6700 block of 99th Street. A pile of wood pallets and trees was on fire.

Theft

A bike was reported stolen Sept. 25 from outside Crestview Elementary School, 7830 80th St. Loss: $90.

A Cottage Grove man reported Sept. 26 that two GPS devices, a portable air compressor and other items were stolen from a vehicle in the 8500 block of Jeffery Avenue. Total loss estimated at $750.

A Cottage Grove resident reported Sept. 26 that an iPod charger and a cellphone charger were stolen from a vehicle in the 7000 block of Jenner Bay. Loss: $40.

Police received a report Sept. 26 that someone stole miscellaneous change from vehicles in the 7200 block of Ivystone Avenue.

Yo-Joe’s, 8711 East Point Douglas Road, reported Sept. 26 that an unknown male twice went into the store and stole employee tips. The second time, he put the money back. Loss: $16.

A 34-year-old Cottage Grove woman was cited for shoplifting from Kohls, 7990 Hardwood Ave., on Sept. 26.

Three bikes were reported stolen Sept. 26 from outside the Park Grove Branch Library, 7900 Hemingway Ave.

Kohls, 7990 Hardwood Ave., reported a theft Sept. 26. A 12-year-old Cottage Grove male was referred to the Youth Service Bureau. He stole jewelry from Kohls, and police determined that he also stole earphones from Rainbow Foods.

A Cottage Grove resident reported Sept. 26 that someone stole speakers and stereo equipment from a boat in the 8400 block of 80th Street.

A Cottage Grove resident reported Sept. 27 that someone stole a John Deere tractor valued at $500 from a yard in the 9800 block of Miller Road.

A Park High School student reported Sept. 28 that a purse was stolen from a backpack. Loss: $40.

A 17-year-old Cottage Grove female was referred Set. 28 to the Youth Service Bureau for stealing merchandise from Kohls, 7990 Hardwood Ave.

Top Ten Wine and Spirits, 8617 East Point Douglas Road, reported Sept. 26 that someone stole an $18 bottle of alcohol. The suspect was not located.

A Cottage Grove woman reported Sept. 30 that jewelry and miscellaneous items had been stolen. The woman lent them to her daughter, but they were later stolen. The woman said she learned some of the items were at an Inver Grove Heights pawn shop. The case is under investigation.

A 17-year-old Cottage Grove male was issued a juvenile citation for shoplifting merchandise from Kohls, 7990 Hardwood Ave., on Sept. 30.

A Cottage Grove woman reported Sept. 30 that a credit card was stolen from her vehicle in the 8100 block of Ingberg Trail. Someone tried to use the card at two Cottage Grove locations. Police are investigating.

A Cottage Grove resident reported Oct. 2 that CDs, car seat covers, a CD stereo and a child seat were stolen from a car parked in the 8800 block of 90th Street. The child seat was recovered later. The loss for the other items totaled $530.

A Cottage Grove resident reported Oct. 2 that a wallet and $30 cash were stolen from a car in the 8800 block of 90th Street. Another victim from the same address reported that a wallet and cigarettes were stolen from a vehicle.

Holiday gas station, 8101 Hadley Ave., reported a $35 gas drive-off Oct. 2.
