Cottage Grove police reports for Nov. 21: Drugs, theft, domestic, traffic violation
Recent criminal activity reported in Cottage Grove:
A 16-year-old Cottage Grove boy was issued a juvenile ticket for disorderly conduct, obstructing the legal process and possession of drug paraphernalia following a Nov. 5 domestic incident in the 9200 block of 73rd Street.
A 38-year-old Cottage Grove man was arrested on suspicion of gross misdemeanor domestic assault for allegedly choking his 30-year-old girlfriend Nov. 10 at a home in the 10000 block of Kingsborough Trail. The man was booked into the Washington County jail.
A 21-year-old Cottage Grove man was cited for driving after suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop Nov. 2 at East Point Douglas Road and Hillside Trail. An officer stopped the vehicle because the registered owner was listed a suspended driver.
A 28-year-old Inver Grove Heights man was ticketed Nov. 1 for shoplifting at Menards, 9000 East Point Douglas Road.
A Cottage Grove woman reported Nov. 1 that she had jewelry stolen from a residence in the 8100 block of 80th Street during an open house. Loss: over $500.
A 28-year-old Hastings woman was ticketed Nov. 1 for shoplifting at Kohls, 7990 Hardwood Ave.
SuperAmerica, 7033 Jorgensen Lane, reported a $20 gas drive-off on Nov. 3. A letter has been sent to the registered owner of the vehicle to pay.
A 44-year-old Cottage Grove man and a 39-year-old Cottage Grove woman were cited for shoplifting Nov. 3 at Menards, 9000 East Point Douglas Road.
A Cottage Grove resident reported Nov. 5 that a bottle of prescription medication was taken from his vehicle while he left it running in the 8300 block of Isleton Court.
A Cottage Grove woman reported Nov. 6 that someone stole a radio from a vehicle in the 7700 block of Hinton Avenue. Loss: $200.
A Woodbury man who works in the 7500 block of 80th Street reported Nov. 6 that sometime between Aug. 15 and Sept. 1 a $15,000 watch was stolen from his coat while at work.
SuperAmerica, 7003 Jorgensen Lane, reported a $53 gas drive-off on Nov. 6.
A 35-year-old Cottage Grove woman was ticketed for shoplifting Nov. 9 at Kohls, 7990 Hardwood Ave.
Holiday, 8101 Hadley Ave., reported a $24 gas drive-off on Nov. 9.
A Cottage Grove man reported Nov. 12 that a computer bag and prescription medication were stolen from his car in the 8400 block of Jensen Avenue.
SuperAmerica, 7003 Jorgensen Lane, reported a $32 gas drive-off on Nov. 12.
A Cottage Grove resident reported Nov. 1 that a mailbox was damaged by a pumpkin in the 7600 block of Inskip Trail. Damage: $150.
A Cottage Grove woman reported Nov. 10 that a window was smashed on a vehicle in the 8700 block of East Point Douglas Road. Damage: $200.
A woman in the 7900 block of Joliet Avenue called police Nov. 4 to report that she saw a man standing outside a neighbor’s house the previous night. The woman asked the man what he was doing. He hid his face and left, according to the report.
Cottage Grove residents in the 9200 block of Jareau Avenue and the 7100 block of Meadow Grass Avenue reported Nov. 2 that mailboxes had been hit with pumpkins. No damages were listed.
A 13-year-old Cottage Grove girl was referred to the Youth Service Bureau for filing a false police report and for vandalism on Nov. 9. She reported she was assaulted but police determined there was no assault. The girl also had written on a neighbor’s door in permanent marker.
A 34-year-old Cottage Grove man was ticketed for fourth-degree drunken driving, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at 3 a.m. Nov. 2 at Hadley Avenue and 90th Street.
A 60-year-old Cottage Grove man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia on Nov. 6 in the 7100 block of Hinton Avenue.
A 21-year-old Cottage Grove man was cited for possession of small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop Nov. 11 at East Point Douglas Road and Heron Avenue. An officer stopped the vehicle because of the dark window tint. A 21-year-old Newport man also in the vehicle was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
