Cottage Grove police reports for June 18: Vehicle tampering, property damage, disorderly
Recent criminal activity reported in Cottage Grove:
A Cottage Grove resident reported May 26 that an unlocked vehicle in the 8400 block of 79th Street was entered, but nothing was taken.
A Cottage Grove resident reported May 31 that a vehicle was tampered with in the 7600 block of 72nd Street Court, but nothing was stolen.
A Cottage Grove resident reported June 4 that two unlocked vehicles were entered in the 8600 block of Greystone Avenue, but nothing was stolen.
A Cottage Grove woman reported June 6 that just two days after someone broke into her vehicle the 8500 block of Greystone Avenue, it appeared someone tried to get into the vehicle again.
A 22-year-old Cottage Grove man was cited for disorderly conduct after an incident June 2 at a home in the 8500 block of Jewel Avenue.
A 17-year-old Cottage Grove male was cited for disorderly conduct after he failed to listen to police as they conducted a traffic stop June 8 in the 7200 block of Janero Avenue.
Armstrong Elementary School, 8855 Inwood Ave., reported June 3 that two lights were smashed. Damage was estimated at $100.
A Cottage Grove woman reported June 4 that someone tried to remove a bumper from her Toyota Camry parked in the 7600 block of Ivystone Avenue.
A Cottage Grove woman reported June 10 that someone poured sugar in the gas tank of her vehicle in the 8800 block of 90th Street, causing $300 damage.
Police and firefighters responded to a car fire shortly after 10 p.m. June 1 on southbound Highway 61 between 80th Street and Jamaica Avenue. No injuries were reported.
