Cottage Grove police reports for July 2: Theft
Recent criminal activity reported in Cottage Grove:
A 28-year-old Inver Grove Heights woman was cited for misdemeanor shoplifting June 10 at Kohl's, 7990 Hardwood Ave.
Police received a report June 11 that a GPS device ($100) was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 7600 block of 72nd Street Court.
A Cottage Grove resident reported June 11 that a GPS device ($200) and two pairs of prescription eyeglasses ($1,300) were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 7100 block of Hidden Valley Trail.
Kohl's, 7990 Hardwood Ave., reported a shoplifting incident June 11. A 27-year-old Hastings man was cited for shoplifting.
A Cottage Grove resident reported June 12 that someone damaged a mirror on her vehicle parked in the 6900 block of Innsdale Avenue. The damage was estimated at $250.
Menards, 9000 East Point Douglas Road, reported a theft on June 12. Power tools valued at $1,036 were stolen. Two adult males were suspects, but they had not be identified. The case is under investigation.
A Cottage Grove woman reported June 12 that her wallet was stolen from her purse in a shopping cart at Rainbow Foods, 7282 East Point Douglas Road. A credit card subsequently was used in St. Paul.
Target, 8655 East Point Douglas Road, reported a shoplifting incident June 14. A 15-year-old Cottage Grove female stole $614 worth of merchandise. Further information was not immediately available.
A Newport woman reported June 14 that her daughter's cellphone was stolen at Park high School, 8040 80th St. Loss: $400.
A Clear Lake, Minn., man reported June 16 that a tablet device and a cellphone were stolen from a vehicle parked at Grey Cloud Elementary School, 9525 Indian Blvd. The total loss was estimated at $684.
Pizza Hut, 6990 80th St., reported June 18 that $992 was missing from a deposit. The theft is under investigation.
A Cottage Grove man reported June 20 that a ring ($1,000) was stolen from a home in the 9700 block of 78th Street. No suspects were identified.
Menards, 9000 East Point Douglas Road, reported a shoplifting incident June 23. A 68-year-old West St. Paul woman was cited for stealing $127 worth of merchandise.
A Cottage Grove resident reported June 23 that a laptop, a GPS device, three watches, a box of checks and a digital camera were stolen from a home in the 6900 block of 99th Street Court. Loss: $1,050. Police have a possible suspect.
The Oral Surgery Center, 7700 block of 79th Street, reported June 24 that copper pipe from the sprinkler system was removed from outside the building. The loss was valued at $500.
A Cottage Grove man reported June 24 that a cellphone ($100) was taken from a home in the 8400 block of Jody Lane.
Holiday, 8101 Hadley Ave., reported June 24 that a woman stole three pints of gelato. Loss: $10.
A Philadelphia, Pa., man in town visiting reported June 25 that $1,600 was missing from his wallet while he was at a home in the 8100 block of Ingberg Trail.
