Joshua D. Gunter, 23, of Cottage Grove, was cited for fifth-degree domestic assault Aug. 16 after he allegedly bit his 34-year-old girlfriend on the cheek at a home in the 7700 block of Janero Avenue. He was booked at the Washington County jail because it was a domestic assault case.
An 18-year-old Cottage Grove man was ticketed for violating the city’s social host ordinance following an underage drinking party Aug. 13 at a home in the 9300 block of Hillside Trail. Three 19-year-old Cottage Grove men were cited for underage consumption.
A South St. Paul man allegedly hit several mailboxes while driving drunk in Cottage Grove. Sean B. Henry, 37, was arrested on suspicion of multiple charges about 1:15 p.m. Aug. 14. Police had received reports that a driver struck several mailboxes in the 8100 block of Scott Boulevard. Officers located the vehicle, driven by Henry, in the area. He was arrested on suspicion of third-degree drunken driving, second-degree DWI test refusal, failure to stop at an accident and an unspecified traffic violation. He was booked into the Washington County jail.
A Cottage Grove woman reported Aug. 13 that someone drove through a yard in the 8300 block of 113th Street, causing $100 damage, and keyed a vehicle parked at the home. Damage to the car was estimated at $300.
A Cottage Grove resident reported Aug. 13 that a window was broken on a vehicle in the 8300 block of Innsdale Avenue. Damage: $250.
A Cottage Grove resident reported Aug. 17 that a rock was thrown through a window in the 7300 block of Joliet Circle. Damage: $500.
Police received a report Aug. 20 that the door locking mechanism was damaged on a vehicle parked in the 7300 block of Innsdale Avenue. Nothing was reported stolen.

A 53-year-old St. Paul woman was cited for shoplifting Aug. 6 at Walmart, 9300 East Point Douglas Road. Later that day, a 49-year-old St. Paul Park man was cited for theft at the store.

Two 17-year-old girls, from Woodbury and Newport, may face gross misdemeanor theft charges following a shoplifting incident Aug. 11 at Kohl’s, 7990 Hardwood Ave. The girls allegedly removed tags from store merchandise, concealed it in a cart and walked out the door, according to police. The merchandise was valued at $889.
A 54-year-old St. Paul man was cited for shoplifting Aug. 11 at Target, 8655 East Point Douglas Road.
Holiday gas station, 8101 Hadley Ave., reported a $45 gas drive-off Aug. 13.
Two suspects stole $300 worth of hair products Aug. 13 at Sally’s Beauty Supply, 8711 East Point Douglas Road. The suspects were not located.

A Cottage Grove resident reported Aug. 15 that a U.S. Navy flag ($30) was stolen from a flagpole in the 6600 block of Hadley Avenue. A light on the flagpole was damaged. The police report said the thief had to scale the flagpole to remove the flag.
A 35-year-old St. Paul Park woman was cited for theft Aug. 15 at Menards, 9000 East Point Douglas Road.
A 50-year-old Grenada, Minn., woman was ticketed for shoplifting Aug. 15 at Walmart, 9300 East Point Douglas Road.

A Cottage Grove resident reported Aug. 16 that a propane tank ($30) was stolen from a home in the 7800 block of Hearthside Avenue.
A 17-year-old St. Paul girl was issued a juvenile citation for shoplifting Aug. 17 at Target, 8655 East Point Douglas Road.
A letter was reported stolen Aug. 17 from a neighborhood sign leading into a housing development at 65th Street and Hedgecroft Avenue, resulting in a $200 loss.
A pump, hose and other equipment valued at $1,100 was reported stolen Aug. 20 from the road construction site at Military Road and Keats Avenue.
A 19-year-old St. Paul Park man was cited for theft and obstructing the legal process following a shoplifting incident Aug. 20 at Cub Foods, 8690 East Point Douglas Road. The man ran from the store; police found him at 91st Street and Islay Avenue.
Police received a report Aug. 3 that Grey Cloud Elementary School, 9525 Indian Blvd., had been vandalized. There was graffiti on the outside of the building and on playground slides.

A Cottage Grove woman told police Aug. 11 that two landscaping lights were damaged and a pile of firewood was knocked over in the 9600 block of Heath Avenue.
A Cottage Grove man called police Aug. 11 to report that half of his yard lights had been damaged beyond repair in the 7400 block of 98th Street. Loss: about $100.
A police officer on routine patrol after 11 p.m. Aug. 6 found two people undressed in a vehicle parked at Pine Tree Pond Park, 8300 Isleton Court. The people were told to get dressed and leave the park, since they were there after the park had closed.
Police received a report Aug. 15 that a vehicle was keyed while parked in the 7000 block of 74th Street Bay.
Police were called to Ruby Tuesdays, 7350 Hardwood Court, on Aug. 15 after a customer reported that someone put frosting on her car door handle to complain about her parking.
