Cottage Grove police reports for April 22: Fleeing, theft, vandalism, property damage
A 14-year-old Cottage Grove male was referred to the Youth Service Bureau after he was caught fleeing from police on March 8. The youth had been riding a dirt bike near Hillside Trail and Isle Avenue. Two juveniles fled when police arrived, according to the report.
Kohl's, 7990 Hardwood Ave., reported a shoplifting incident March 27. A 20-year-old Cottage Grove woman was cited for shoplifting after she took merchandise valued at $96.
A Cottage Grove woman reported March 27 that her wallet was stolen from her residence in the 7700 block of Hearthside Avenue. There was no sign of forced entry to the home.
Holiday gas station, 8101 Hadley Ave., reported a $22 gas drive-off on March 29.
An Eagan woman reported to police April 2 that someone broke into her vehicle while it was parked outside American Motorsports Bar and Grill, 7240 East Point Douglas Road, and stole a gym bag containing $200 worth of items.

A man reported April 3 that three large extension cords valued at $475 total were stolen from a barn in the 6600 block of Manning Avenue.
A 21-year-old Newport man was cited for shoplifting April 5 after he took two boxes of cold medicine from Rainbow Foods, 7282 East Point Douglas Road.
