Cottage Grove pays off splash pad

Cottage Grove residents were introduced to a new concept for outdoor recreation in 2012 — a splash pad at Highlands Park.

A little over a year later, the City Council last week approved the fifth and final payment of $29,924, which pays off the total $472,500 project. L.S. Black Constructors installed the zero-depth, outdoor water pad on Idsen Avenue after the city closed the aging pool in 2011.
