Benjamin "Benny" Lowery, 18, of Cottage Grove, passed April 6, in Cottage Grove, Minn., surrounded by family and love in his unexpected passing.

Benny was born on Nov. 4, 1995, the son of Peter and Lori Lowery. Benny was in his senior year attending White Bear Lake High School's 916 South Campus program. Benny was one of the smartest in his class and was beloved by all that had the fortune to work and learn from him. Benny was to attend a Vocational Young Adult Program in the fall, where he would have excelled and touched many more with his wonderful spirit and contagious laugh. Benjamin spent many joyous hours reading, drawing and volunteering. Benny volunteered at the St. John's Hospital working still to give of himself to others. Even in his passing he was still gifting others with his strong, statuesque stature and healthy body by helping to improve, heal, transform and save others to the joy of their loved ones and family.

Benny's spirit has been felt by all he has crossed paths with and his passing has brought about many wonderful memories he has imprinted upon us. Benny will be missed by many hearts who have grown bigger and kinder for having known Benny.

Benny leaves loving memories to be cherished by his parents, Peter and Lori Lowery of Cottage Grove, Minn; sisters, Gabrielle, Elizabeth and Rachel; brother, Aidan; and by a large extended family including several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Benny was preceded in death grandparents, John and Virginia Lowery.
