Anderson crowned Queen Ambassador of Cottage Grove Strawberry Fest

In front of an auditorium full of friends and family, 17-year-old Samantha Anderson was crowned the 2014 Queen of the Strawberry Fest Ambassador program at the coronation ceremony Monday.

Sponsored by the Cottage Grove Women in Business organization, Anderson also took home the honors of Miss Congeniality and Best Interview.

Anderson is a senior at Park High School and involved in Key Club, Circle of Friends and Link Crew. She is also a member of the Park girl’s hockey team and holds a youth seat on the city’s Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Commission.

Katelyn Quast, sponsored by Mississippi Dunes Golf Links, was crowned Miss Princess; Daria Babin, sponsored by Edwards Plumbing, Inc., was crowned Junior Miss Princess; Kylee Lund, sponsored by Belissimo Salon & Day Spa, was crowned Little Miss Princess; Seirra Kubias, sponsored by Terry Knop-Allstate Insurance, was crowned Junior Miss Queen; and Gracie Reimer, sponsored by Cottage Grove Eyecare Clinic, was crowned Little Miss Queen.

The outgoing 2013 Strawberry Fest Ambassadors crowned their successor.

The coronation ceremony included guest appearances by 2014’s Klondike Kate and the St. Paul Winter Carnival Royalty, the Minneapolis Aquatennial Royalty, as well as other members of ambassador programs from around the metro.
