North Carolina sophomore RJ Alowonle, a 2012 Park grad, finished in fifth place in the 400-meter hurdles final at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore. last Friday. Alowonle finished the race in 51.06.

It’s the first individual All-American honor for the sophomore, though he did earn All-American status in the 1600-meter relay at the Indoor Championships earlier this year.
