Absentee voting hours at the county service centers are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.  Additional hours for absentee balloting will be offered 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9.

Voters are encouraged to cast their ballot at the beginning of the period (June 27-Aug. 11) for absentee voting. Waiting to vote during the last week of the absentee voting period may result in long lines and the potential for a long wait.

Voters may apply for an absentee ballot online through the Minnesota Secretary of State’s Office. The online applications will be processed by Washington County and ballots will be mailed to the voters applying online.

Voters also may vote absentee by mail. Call 651-430-6175 to have an absentee ballot application mailed. Voters will narrow the field of candidates seeking election to federal, state and county offices.

Questions about the primary election, absentee voting, or voter registration can be directed to Washington County at 651-430-6175.
