The East Ridge boys lacrosse team will have a new look this season.

The Raptors have to replace its top three scorers from last season. East Ridge 2012 graduates Connor Catterall, Daniel Wetterstrom and Connor Leferink combined for 45 of the team's 58 goals a year ago. East Ridge also needs to replace its starting goalie from last year, James Hones, also a 2012 grad.

Eric Birkemeier is the top returning point scorer held over from last year's club. Birkemeier, a senior, had 11 points on seven goals and four assists. Junior Kilian Wilson will also likely be expected to step up offensively. He had four goals and four assists last year for eight points, which was fifth on the Raptors.

East Ridge finished 2-9 overall last season and 2-6 in the Suburban East Conference -- with wins coming over Hastings and Forest Lake.

This year, White Bear Lake -- the defending conference champ -- Stillwater and Roseville will likely be the teams to beat in conference play. In Section 4, which was drastically realigned this year, White Bear Lake will also likely be the top team, with Stillwater and Mahtomedi also in the mix.

East Ridge opens the season at home on Thursday, April 11, against section foe North St. Paul. The team then welcomes section foe Hill-Murray to the Raptors' Nest on April 17. Conference play begins on Monday, April 22, against Cretin-Derham Hall in St. Paul. Other top games include: at home against Park on Monday, May 6, and at home against Woodbury on Monday, May 20.
