The Wolfpack went from 2-20 overall in 2011 to 6-18 in 2012.

Seniors Brittany Allen, Jessica Coochiarella, Mikayla Jones, Sydney Lamberty and Samantha Peterson will help lead the way for the Wolfpack this fall.

Park head coach R.T. Luczak is back for a third season with the Wolfpack this fall. Jon Hackbarth will also be the co-head coach with Luczak this season. Hackbarth — a pastor at Salem Lutheran Church in Woodbury — is a coach at Kokoro Volleyball, where Luczak is the director.

Park’s season came to an end last year with a 3-0 loss to Lakeville South in the opening round of the Section 3AAA tournament.

The loss ended Park’s season at 6-18 overall. Park was unable to win a Suburban East Conference match for the fourth straight year. The Wolfpack carries a 36-game losing streak in the SEC into this season. Park’s last conference win was on Oct. 14, 2008, when Park beat Mounds View 3-0.

The top teams in the Suburban East this season are expected to be Roseville, which is ranked ninth in Class AAA, and Cretin-Derham Hall, which is ranked 17th, followed by Woodbury, Stillwater and East Ridge. In Section 3AAA, No. 1-ranked Lakeville North, No. 3-ranked Eagan and 16th-ranked Lakeville South are regarded as the strongest squads.

Park starts the season on the road on Thursday, Aug. 29, at Simley High School. The Wolfpack will host its home opener on Thursday, Sept. 5, against South St. Paul in the main gym at Park High School. Park then opens conference play on Sept. 17 at home against Roseville.
