South Washington County families may choose from a variety of Easter activities this year ranging from traditional dramatic productions at Light the Way Church and New Life Church of Woodbury and moving to a visit with the Easter Bunny at Valley Creek Mall Saturday and Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the Cottage Grove VFW Red Barn Sunday. 'One Voice' Easter drama
Light the Way Church in Cottage Grove will present the Easter drama, "One Voice," at three performances, 7:30 p.m. March 30 and 3:30 p.m. March 31 and April 1, at the church, 70th Street and Jamaica Avenue.
Admission is free but tickets must be reserved at 651-459-4145 or online at www.lightthewaychurch.com.
'Crown Him' Easter musical
The 22nd annual version of "Crown Him," a musical drama about the life of Jesus Christ, will be presented by New Life Church of Woodbury beginning March 30. More than 150 east metro residents will take part in the production which includes live music and animals. Shows are scheduled at 7 p.m. March 30-31 and April 5-7. A 3 p.m. matinee will take place April 1. The April 7 performance will be American Sign Language interpreted.
Reserved tickets can be purchased at www.newlife4u.org, Sundays from 9:45-11a.m. or by calling 651-459-0444, ext. 7. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children, 12 and younger. Tickets are $10 each for groups of 10 or more. "Crown Him" is not recommended for children, 5 and younger. New Life Church of Woodbury is located at 6758 Bailey Road in Woodbury.
Easter Bunny at Valley Creek Mall
The Easter Bunny will visit with kids from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, at Valley Creek Mall, 1750 Weir Drive in Woodbury.
Mall merchants will hand out free candy and toys. There will be free face painting, a craft area for kids, coloring contest, balloons and refreshments. Nonperishable food donations will be accepted but not required.
Lions to host Easter Bunny Breakfast
The Cottage Grove Lions Club invites families to have breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Cottage Grove VFW Red Barn, 9752 East Point Douglas Road in Cottage Grove.
Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for kids. If you go, take a camera. Other activities will include a bake sale and several raffles.
White Pine Easter egg hunt
White Pine Senior Living in Cottage Grove is hosting an Easter egg hunt for all ages from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 7, at the facility, 6900 East Point Douglas Road.
If you go, take a basket. Pictures with the Easter Bunny, refreshments and prizes will be available. For details, call 651-459-2870.
St. Luke Lutheran 16th annual Easter egg hunt
The congregation at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove is hosting its 16th annual community Easter egg hunt, beginning at 11 a.m. April 7 at the church, corner of 70th Street and Hinton Avenue. N Zion Lutheran Church Egg hunt April 8
Zion Lutheran Church, 8500 Hillside Trail in Cottage Grove, invites you and your whole family to a massive Easter egg hunt beginning at 11:15 a.m. April 8, following worship. Worship starts at 10 a.m. with breakfast from 8-9:45 a.m.
The menu will include egg casserole, fruit cup, bread, cakes, muffins, coffee and milk. A freewill offering will be accepted.

Valley Creek Church airborne Easter egg drop
A helicopter is scheduled to fly over the soccer fields at the Washington County Fairgrounds dropping 30,000 prize-filled plastic Easter eggs from the sky Saturday, April 7. Sponsored by Valley Creek Church in Woodbury, check-in for the event starts at 9 a.m. The helicopter will arrive at 11:15 a.m.
The event is designed for children, 12 and younger. The event is free but preregistration is required. For details and to preregister, visit www.valleycreekchurch.com. Children will be allowed to search for eggs by age group.
Grand prizes will include the new iPad, Nintendo Wii, an American Girl doll and a bike and helmet.
Transfiguration Living Stations of the Cross
The Servants of the Cross will re-enact the Passion of Jesus Christ at three locations on Good Friday, April 6: Noon at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1725 Kennard St. in Maplewood; 3 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament, 1801 LaCrosse Ave. in St. Paul; and 7 p.m. at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 6133 15th St. N. in Oakdale.

Salem Lutheran Journey to the Cross
The congregation at Salem Lutheran Church, 7825 Bailey Road in Woodbury, invites everyone to walk in Jesus' footsteps during Holy Week--a sensory learning event.
