The Legends of Cottage Grove senior living facility is set to open Feb. 1.

The one-, two- and three-bedroom facility is currently about 40 percent leased, Legends Community Manager Bailey England said. There are 184 units altogether.

The senior living facility is largely finished from the outside, but is only about a third completed inside. Several rooms are finished, with a few open for tours to potential residents.

Though some have been from Inver Grove Heights or Hastings, most inquiries and rentals have been from the south Washington County area. England said most of the future tenants live within about a 10-mile radius.

A one-bedroom unit will run about $950, $1,100 for a two-bedroom and $1,300 for three bedrooms.

There are income guidelines on all the rooms; one resident must make less than $38,000 per year. A household up to six must bring in under $63,000.

Legends has underground parking for residents, but comes at an extra charge of $75 per month.

Pets will be allowed with a pet fee and deposit, and a $10 per month charge per pet. Certain dog breeds, such as pit bulls and German shepards, are not allowed.

Legends will include a community room, on-site salon and a theater room, as well as a washer and dryer in each unit.

Legends is located at 6999 East Point Douglas Road, next to White Pine Senior Living, and near the Highway 61 and 80th Street.

Tours are available every Wednesday and every other Saturday. See www.legendsofcottagegrove.com or call 763-452-3169 for more.
