Jim Ryder journeyed solo by dog team, 800 miles from Nenana to Nome Alaska in 2011, replicating the original Serum Run which follows part of the Iditarod Trail. Ryder will share stories, images and display much of his gear as well as discuss his preparation for the adventure including dog training, from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at Carpenter Nature Center, in Denmark Township. The presentation is appropriate for all ages. Admission is $10 per person or a maximum of $25 per family.
