Ladies' Night Out scholarship benefit
An evening of food, drinks and shopping is scheduled in Woodbury in November to help raise money for students whose parents were killed or seriously injured on the job. The Ladies’ Night Out—Shopping for Scholarships fundraiser will take place from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Prestwick Golf Club. More than 25 vendors will be selling items including jewelry, purses, food and housewares. Silent auction items include an autographed photo of Vikings wide receiver and return specialist Percy Harvin and a gift certificate for the Minnesota Horse & Hunt Club. Gift items will be available for those who want to do their holiday shopping early. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, and proceeds go toward the SFM Foundation. Tickets include a complimentary drink and appetizers. Attendees can also enjoy massages and mini-salon services at the event. For details and to purchase tickets, visit www.sfm-foundation.org/events. The SFM Foundation is a nonprofit organization created to administer a post-secondary education scholarship program to benefit children of workers disabled or fatally injured in work-related accidents.
