Members of the Mission Outreach at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Cottage Grove is hosting a cookout Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 18-19 at Von Hanson’s Meats, 9040 Inwood Ave., in Cottage Grove. They will be grilling from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. All are welcome. Proceeds from the weekend event will help St. Rita’s sister parish, Los Santos Martires in Chimbote, Peru; an orphanage and school in Tanzania, Africa; and a homeless shelter and ministry in Lake Elmo.
